When Nine Inch Nails announced their Ghosts Film Festival - an invitation for fans to submit videos from the new album, I was interested enough to write it down in my creative to do list, and consigned myself to forgetting about it or missing the deadline. But, Ghosts 13 spoke to me. I saw symmetric neon tubes that drew themselves in time to the melody, slowly falling into the distance. It was just a matter of finding the time to realize it. Vimeo allows HD (1280x820), so, by all means, don't view this tiny version embedded in the blog, click on the vimeo logo. But, the original full res version is 1920x1080.

cool video
thanks!
I think this festival thing is a good idea. It makes sense from the fan perspective, and the NIN perspective. Everyone benefits. It is clear to me that Trent 'gets it' and grasps how quickly the world is changing in regard to media.
The old record industry model would stifle prolific artists who were keen to experiment. It doesn't have to be that way anymore, and I see Trent positioning himself accordingly. We're at this cusp where established artists have a tremendous opportunity: the fan base and income that comes from the old model coupled with the artistic freedom and unique opportunities of the new model.
Should be interesting.
