This was a fun UI. The audio industry is known for ornate or evocative user interfaces. The video world tends to be more programmatic and generic-looking. You never see a UI that mimics the functionality of a video deck, for example.
The signal flow at the top is directly-manipulatable. The bottom section has six panels, selectable by the tab wheel.
