This was the first video demonstration of MX4 from 2003. Four instances were layered, one of which was using Digital Performer's MIDI arpeggiator. This was before MX4 had its own built-in arpeggiator. Of note is the ability to optionally bend only keys that are held down. The notes held with the sustain pedal are unaffected. The Peavey DPM C8 controller was used due to its ability to send release velocity. Each of the four layers was set up to receive volume data from the DPM C8 sliders.
